Amesbury – Carol A. Shute passed away peacefully last Friday at Country Rehab in Newburyport with her family at her side. She was born in Amesbury and was the daughter of the late Eva (Goudreau) Talbot. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Shute who passed away in 1998.
Carol worked many jobs until she retired to care for her grandchildren. Taking care of children was her greatest pleasure in life. Coming from a big family, she was the third youngest of 14 children. During her last couple of years, she lived at Assisted Living in Salisbury where she had many friends and participated in all activities. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth S. Shute and wife Sandra; her daughter Joy (Shute) Berube; her brother Ron Talbot; her sister Bernice Baldenelli; her five grandchildren, Erin, Jillian, Ashley, Kenny, and Dylan; her two great-grandchildren, Keegan and Alana; and many relatives and friends.
Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., in Amesbury, are this Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m. If possible, please wear red in honor of Carol’s favorite color. Masks are required to attend and burial will be private.
